A Paralegal I performs, but is not limited to the following duties: Receives visitors and telephone callers for the U.S. Attorney and first istant U.S. Attorney (FAUSA). Furnishes requested details concerning pending and closed matters, functions, and general procedures of the office. Determines which matters should be referred to the U.S. Attorney and/or FAUSA, whether the immediacy of the call warrants interruption of the U.S. Attorney or revision of previously established plans and priorities. Establishes and maintains a variety of files for the U. S. Attorney and the FAUSA. embles exhibits, affidavits, and other legal documents from file materials.
