Description Benefits Supplemental Questions The primary purpose of this position is to conduct appraisals of commercial real estate properties for tax purposes using established policies, procedures and standards. Requires the knowledge, understanding and use of the sales comparison, the cost and the income approach valuation methods. This position involves work with property owners and representatives; provides training, guidance and assistance to departmental staff as needed and maintain related data records. Defend commercial assessment at the Board of Equalization. Performs related work as required. Examples of Duties: * Conduct field inspections to verify characteristics and update ProVal CAMA database with changes resulting from building permits. Reads and interprets a variety of maps, plans, drawings and aerial photographs to collect and verify property data, improvements, boundaries, conditions, etc.
