Science and Technology on a Mission For more than 60yrs, the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) has applied science and technology to make the world a safer place. We have an opening for a Research Scientist to conduct research to study fundamental mechanisms and kinetics to develop predictive, quantitative models of performance for a range of programs within LLNL, including advanced energy storage and conversion materials, energetics, and aging materials and systems. You will actively participate and lead research to investigate the kinetics of phase transformations, degradation of materials in harsh environments, the effects of long:term chemical incompatibility, and fill understanding gaps in time dependent changes in material performance of both inorganic and organic materials in complex systems. This position is in the Materials Science Division.
