Postdoctoral Research Associate : Molten Salt Chemistry - (Oak Ridge, TN)

Requisition Id 843 OVERVIEW: The Nanomaterials Chemistry Group within the Chemical Sciences Division at in the Physical Sciences Directorate (PSD) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) currently has a postdoctoral position available for an inorganic, physical, or analytical chemist with ability in the molten:salt chemistry for development of new molten salt systems targeted to the applications in advanced high:temperature coolants and liquid nuclear fuels. This position is part of the Energy Frontier Research Center on Molten Salts in Extreme Environments (MSEE) funded by the DOE Office of Sciences, Basic Energy Sciences.The primary focus of this position will be on the synthesis and purification of new molten salt systems and their correlation to performance. The results will be utilized to scale up an efficient high:temperature processes.
