Postdoctoral Research Associate : Applied Spectroscopy and Diagnostics for Clean - (Knoxville, TN)

Requisition Id 516 Purpose This position seeks to fill a research role in applied spectroscopy and diagnostics with an expert in the development of advanced techniques for species and temperature measurement. Candidates should have a demonstrated record of: 1) technical accomplishment in the field of applied spectroscopy, 2) background applying spectroscopic and other diagnostic tools to complex systems such as internal combustion engines, or 3) innovating new measurement and diagnostic approaches. The chosen applicant is expected to execute research projects in the areas of: 1) spectroscopic measurement of gaseous transients in internal combustion engines; 2) spatio:temporal analysis of chemical processes in catalysts and emission control systems; and 3) in situ temperature measurements of gas and solid species.
