Supply Chain Associate - (Iowa City, IA)

The Supply Chain Associate will provide day:to:day support for the Purchasing departments Strategic Sourcing Team through assisting in bid preparation, contract extensions as well as marketing, communication and training materials for users throughout campus. This involves responding to daily issues and questions that may arise, communication with staff in departments, researching issues and making recommendations for resolution. This job requires knowledge of purchasing related systems. Duties and Responsibilities: Obtain and verify info regarding sourcing and acquisition options at the request of others. Interact with vendors/suppliers to ensure understanding of contracting and covered goods or services. Interact with internal and external customers to understand service needs and marketing strategies. Develop materials and/or programs to address customer concerns. Develop marketing and communication materials and events to campus in a businesslike and effective manner.
