Operating Room Technician - (Vernon Rockville, CT)

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Assists the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Assures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program and be a Certified Surgical Technician, or obtain certification within 6 mons from date of hire. Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment with ECHN in this role. COMPETENCIES: Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
