Deputy Sheriff - (Graham, NC)

Position: Deputy Sheriff Location: Graham, NC Salary: $34,917.00 - $61,005.00 DOE Duties: An employee in this class performs general law enforcement work in the protection of the lives, property and rights of citizens of the County. Serves as an employee to the Sheriff investigating complaints and crimes. Serves legal papers related to the civil process of the law including summons, subpoenas, notices, attachments, claim of delivery, ejectments and executions. Serves warrants and other criminal processes. Answers complaint calls, investigates crime and disturbances, and arrest violators of the law. Patrols highways and roads in the county with a car equipped with a 2 way radio communication system to contact other officers. Directs traffic at funerals and parades and enforces the law in places of public entertainment. Assist outside agencies, including State and Federal, in investigations. Serves the court as bailiff and prisoner guard.
