Quality Engineer. JOB OVERVIEW Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer performs the duties and responsibilities shown below. 1.2 Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Follows up on all 8-D revisions until closure of concern. - Monthly Performance Review of Customer (PPMs, 8-Ds, Corrective Actions, Performance, etc.) - Understands Plant/Customer KPI's and works with team to meet and exceed. - Total Customer Satisfaction - #1 Priority. (Must have full support from management and production). - Communicator between the customer and the plant. - Responsible to conduct capability studies, and ensure that they are properly performed and documented for special characteristics, and that Customer and internal qualifications are met (or a written Customer deviation is obtained). - Identify and utilize the appropriate statistical tools. Mentor teammates on proper statistical application and techniques. - Support the Manufacturing Engineer in updating the PFMEA as required.
