Job overview Domain Knowledge: Transportation and Locomotive Essential Job Functions: Software Quality Assurance Engineer would be responsible for tasks and activities related to locomotive software quality. The individual will work with software engineers and subsection managers and carry out tasks related to software quality assurance such as quality system documentation, software approval and software defect analysis. Specific skill sets should include embedded software programming, verification and validation, familiarity with configuration management tool, spreadsheets, good people skills, strong analytical expertise, and expertise to learn GE software process. The SQA Engineer will be responsible for: :Software and Config File Approval: Analyze and approve Pre:Production and Production Software and config files :Quality Management System: Develop and update QSP/QSW related to software quality. Develop work instructions, flowchart, forms, template and checklists.
