Melt Department Supervisor - (Lima, OH)

Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring a Melt Department Supervisor for our operation in Lima, Ohio. This position will manage and participate in all aspects of melt department production and operations. Responsibilities: Supervise melting, refining, degas and tapping operations, including scrap charging, alloy additions, slagging off, taking (heat) temperatures, taking test (chemistry) samples, pouring plate setups, etc. Manage, motivate and inform melt staff; recruit, train and develop melt staff; according to company policies and employment laws; ensure relevant procedures are followed (attendance, monthly department meetings, reviews, discipline, grievance, etc). Manage health and safety, security and emergency systems according to company policies and relevant laws; ensure relevant procedures are followed (MSDS, PPE, visitors, evacuation plan, etc). Monitor and ensure melt production data is documented, entered, distributed, and retained according to company procedures.
