Full time Veterinary Assistant needed at Allison Lane Animal Hospital, a growing practice in Jeffersonville, Indiana. DUTIES The Veterinary Assistant will assist Veterinarians and Technicians with appointments and perform various functions within the practice. Desired skills include being able to safely handle animal restraint, diagnostic testing, x-rays, kennel duties, client education, knowledge of common medications, technical skills. This position also includes rotating weekend kennel shifts. The kennel shifts are typically every 5-8 weeks and can take anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple of hours, depending upon the number of boarders we have in the hospital at that time.
