Hospice Volunteer - (Baton Rouge, LA)

Bridgeway Healthcare and Hospice is now accepting applications for its Volunteer Team. Bridgeway is a fun and exciting place to volunteer. Volunteerism is at the heart of what we do as a hospice. This is an unpaid professional volunteer background. Volunteers are expected to dress and behave in a professional manner when representing Bridgeway. Volunteers provide direct patient support through patient visits, respite care, and/or haircuts for patients (if licensed to do so). Volunteers provide organizational support through volunteer leadership/managerial roles and/or office work. Specialized volunteers provide such services as photography, public speaking, recruitment, sewing, and making deliveries. Volunteers also represent Bridgeway at special events such as 5ks and fund-raising events. Volunteers are required to document visits in patients charts, and are encouraged to attend meetings with the inter-disciplinary hospice teams that serve our patients.
