Job details: Under the direction of the Technical Supervisor and Technical Manager perform and demonstrate proficiency and understanding of technical procedures on pediatric, adult and geriatric patients in one or more discipline of the Clinical Laboratory. Responsible for validity of test results, result reporting, specimen handling, and maintenance of necessary department records. If working at a Clinical Laboratory Scientist perform testing as allowed per CA BPC. Requirements: Education BA/BS Degree Required Clinical Laboratory Scientist License - CLS-L within 60 days of hire Necessary background Min of one year of background in a clinical laboratory required May be completed through CLS or MLT Training program Expertise to work with laboratory info system. Knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Microsoft word and MICROSOFT EXCEL Expertise to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
