Job overview: Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs, analyses, interprets data obtained from laboratory procedures for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment of disease with notification of appropriate personnel of abnormal or atypical results. Principal accountabilities include: Review pending log of test procedures, assess equipment and supplies needed to perform required procedures, prepare reagents following standard formulae and procedures Obtain and process laboratory specimens according to procedural requirements Performing standard automated hematological procedures Performing a full range of immunological procedures Performing chemical analyses on body fluids to determine levels of specified analyte. Requirements: REQUIRED: Four-year college diploma with completion of a supervised one-year clinical laboratory internship.
