Lead Clinical Lab Scientist (FT Days) - (Burlingame, CA)

Job overview: This Lead CLS (Clinical Laboratory Scientist) is responsible for evaluating and implementing new tests, monitoring CAP survey performance, administer annual competency test, and maintaining quality for all testing procedures for the Chemistry section of the Clinical Laboratory. In addition, the Lead CLS will assist the Laboratory Manager and the Medical Laboratory Director to select and evaluate new hematology analyzers and conduct annual test procedure review. This Lead CLS reports directly to the Laboratory Manager. Requirements: A baccalaureate degree in clinical laboratory or related sciences, with one-year hospital clinical training in an approved program. Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license. At least 2 years recent working background in the Chemistry section of a clinical laboratory. Must have technical skills and literacy.
