Research Assistant I - (Silver Spring, MD)

Research Assistant ISilver Spring, MD Parsons is seeking a Research Assistant I to support the NeuroTrauma Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) research program at the Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC), located at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, in Silver Spring, MD. Parsons provides scientific, technical and programmatic support services to NMRC. Responsibilities: Assists in executing and implementing scientific research in the areas of traumatic brain injury and/or post-traumatic stress disorder. Performs laboratory research utilizing a variety of experimental techniques in neuroscience, experimental psychology, and cellular/molecular biology. Specifically, common lab techniques will involve animal surgery and behavioral testing, ELISA, PCR, hormone assays, and others as necessary.
