Quality Control Technician - (Beaumont, CA)

Position title: Packaging Quality Control Technician Beaumont Reports To: QC Manager GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Insure all products meet the written quality specifications. Maintain the Quality laboratory. Perform analytical tests on raw ingredients, work in progress, and final products. Monitor and inspect the bagged products and labels before they are shipped to customers. Maintain all quality records as necessary to be in compliance with the USDA and any other regulatory agencies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Daily: Insure that the proper date code sequence is applied to products and shipping boxes Conduct the written programs for bag weight control Randomly inspect final product from each machine Insure that corrective actions are taken for out of spec product Maintain the laboratory; order supplies as necessary Perform analytical tests on products ( FFA, moisture, seasoning, bag fill, air fill, etc) Inspect incoming lard and oil shipments
