Manager, Claims Branch (Commercial Multi-Peril) - (Rancho Cucamonga, CA)

POSITION DESCRIPTION and KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Under general direction, manages claims functions for the Commercial Multi Peril claims organization. Responsible for managing, directing and developing these functions the areas of and making operational, technical, and personnel decisions. Guides and advises VP of Claims or Sr. Mgr. Large Loss Divisional Claims on issues regarding operational enhancements, personal development, and strategic thinking. May be responsible for managing professional and/or unit/Branch Managers in staffing, providing feedback, performance management, conducting disciplinary actions, etc. Plans, directs and advises VP of Claims or Sr. Mgr. Large Loss Divisional Claims on matters pertaining assigned specialty area(s) or highly complex claim and personnel matters. Provides feedback, recommendations, and makes decisions regarding matters of high importance without further approval (approval must be within employees established scope of authority).
