Job overview OpticsPlanet is seeking a PHP Developer Intern to work at our e-commerce company using cutting edge technologies, tools, and processes. We use the latest in OOP: Domain-Driven Design, Design patterns, Object Relational Mapping (ORM) via Doctrine, Symfony and Zend Frameworks for MVC, and testing with PHPUnit, Behat, and PhantomJS. We work with the latest tools: PHPStorm, git, JIRA/Confluence/Bamboo/Stash, skype, slack, etc. We work in teams using agile processes, peer code reviews, and continuous integration. The work includes the whole spectrum of web development tasks, such as writing web apps (both front-end and back-end work), web service consumers and providers, automated publishing tools for our stores and retail channels, and critical business analytics applications. Our internship program is a paid 40 hours per week position that lasts 3 mnths. At the successful conclusion of the internship program, the ideal intern transitions to a full time PHP Developer position at the company.
