Protein Characterization Scientist - Interfacial & Surface Analysis Job - (Berkeley, CA)

Seeking individual with 3+ years background in characterizing proteins and solid knowledge of optical and surface analysis methods such as Dynamic Mechanical Analysis, Thermomechanical Analysis, Differential Scanning Calorimetry, Thermal Gravimetric Analysis, Residual Gas Analysis, X-ray Diffraction, Small Angle X-Ray Scattering, Differential scanning fluorimetry, Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, Raman Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy, Optical Microscopy, X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy, Secondary-ion mass spectrometry. Shall support teams conducting research at protein surfaces and interfaces, involving biomolecular recognition and affinity, cell physiology, inflammation and macrophage manipulation, promotion of desirable cellular expression, characterization of surface molecular functionality and protein deposition, and biointerface synthesis.
