NGS Scientist & Bioinformatician - Bacterial Cultures Job - (Hayward, CA)

Design and execute experiments to prepare, sequence, analyze, and interpret results of mixed bacterial cell cultures with the goal of novel therapeutic development. Responsibilities: *** Prepare and sequence libraries utilizing next generation sequencing, wet lab, and animal handling laboratory techniques. *** Design appropriate data analysis strategy for diverse microbial datasets using R, Matlab, Perl, Python, or Java; interpret results; and present actionable insights to drive decision-making in therapeutic project portfolio. *** Filter and prioritize findings based on likelihood of reproducibility and in response to team guidance on therapeutic importance, novelty, and other relevant considerations.
