Senior Director- Labor Relations - (Smithfield, VA)

Overview The position overview states the general nature and purpose of the job. Overall accountabilities are defined in this section. The Senior Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations ensures the development and implementation of proactive human resources and labor relations strategies for both union and non-union facilities throughout the Company. The Sr. Director is responsible for building strong partnerships with human resource and business leaders across the organization as well as relationships with local and national labor leaders. This job requires very extensive knowledge and demonstrated ability handling difficult labor relations and contract negotiations for a large organization as the Chief negotiator and background managing union free campaign. In addition, the individual must have human resource generalist background in a manufacturing environment; preferably in the food sector.
