Successful, fast-growing neutral NVOCC/consolidator is now hiring an outside sales representative based in the NY/NJ area. The successful applicant will close and maintain profitable LCL business from freight forwarders. Responsibilities: Sell LCL shipping services to the freight forwarding market. Identify, qualify, and contact potential customers based on existing relationships. Assess client needs and propose appropriate solutions and pricing. Close new business regularly, reaching targets set forth by the Company. Organize and track all sales activities and progress. Respond to requests for rates and details. Work with operations to create SOPs and provide an exemplary level of customer service. Qualifications: Background selling global LCL transportation services, including trucking, insurance, brokerage, warehousing, consolidation, ocean freight, and other value-added services.
