Collections Manager - (Yorktown, VA)

Role: To preserve the Credit Unions assets by controlling delinquencies, collecting delinquent payments and when necessary, recovering and disposing of collateral. Maintains a highly productive, efficient team that consistently works to meet the needs of our members all the while protecting the assets of the credit union. Proactively demonstrate the first Advantage F.C.U. core values of integrity, trustworthiness,hard work and dedication, passion and vision. Critical functions & Responsibilities: * Ensures all activities within the department are carried out according to applicable collection laws and regulations, pursuant to company policies, within prescribed time frames. Analyzes financial situation of delinquent borrowers and takes necessary action to remedy the account. Arranges for the repossession and subsequent sale of collateral as needed. Testifies at legal proceedings as required. Prepares detailed and statistical reports to senior management.
