Portfolio Underwriting Manager - (Hauppauge, NY)

As a Portfolio Underwriting Manager, 1 will utilize commercial underwriting background to adequately review all aspects of loan applications to assess the credit risk of a transaction. Assignments include, but are not limited to: * Spread and analyze financial statements/tax returns, evaluate the details and prepare the credit approval memorandum (CAM) in a timely and accurate manner, on behalf of the sponsoring officer, opine on credit quality. * Interact with lending staff on all aspects of loan requests, identifying key risks and associated mitigants to those risks. * Maintain professional relationship and communication with Commercial Loan Officers, Branch Managers, borrowers and outside contacts. * Ensure the protection of the banks interests via adequate risk analysis, documentation, and adherence to banks credit policy and various laws and regulations necessary to department operations.
