Life Underwriting Advocate - Under general supervision, an Advocate will provide proactive support for agents and sales personnel by acting as owners of new business cases assigned to the Life New Business underwriting. This includes quality review of any other actions taken on the case, ordering and follow-up on pending qualifications necessary for underwriting approval, follow-up on delivery qualifications on conditionally issued cases, premium management and case issue. Advocates will champion key issues related to the case using effective communication expertise, business knowledge and understanding of Horace Mann Corporate and Life New Business goals. Advocates must cultivate business relationships with distribution partners, and other members of their team, including underwriters. Position responsibilities High-school education with 4-5 yrs of life insurance background or equivalent business background.
