Landscaping Supervisor - (Denton, TX)

The Facilities Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Landscaping Supervisor to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: - Bachelor's Degree in a related position. - 6 Yrs of background in landscape related work. - Plan, estimate, and order materials for in-house landscape projects. - Knowledge of North Texas landscape design, installation, and maintenance and the equipment needed to accomplish these tasks. - Expertise to monitor tasks of others and ensure completion of work. - Create and maintain a plan to care for campus trees. - Provide support and leadership during snow and ice cleanup events. - Work with vendors (nurseries, growers, rock and soil suppliers) and contractors to negotiate favorable pricing for landscape projects. - Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. - Expertise to perform manual labor. - 3yrs of background leading a team. - Create and manage daily schedules for landscape and tree care crews.
