Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Buyer/ Expediter to join our team! You will be responsible for the helping in the purchasing department for industrial distribution and resale. The perfect applicant will show ambition and desire to grow into a leadership position within the company. This will be an addition to the department.Responsibilities: Evaluate available supply channels to increase product value and reduce production cost Working with both domestic and global vendors Negotiate contracts with outside vendors Analyze and assess demand for customer needs and coordinate with production lead times Log and record all invoices and purchasing orders Monitor inventory levels and reorder points Develop and implement purchasing policies and proceduresQualifications: College diploma 2-three years background in purchasing or other related fields preferred Strong negotiation skills Strong written and spoken communication abilities Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Strong attention to detail Background
