The Building Operations Technician II is an integral member of a team of technicians dedicated to supporting a unique LEED Platinum facility which houses 400+ staff and nearly 1 million visitors each year. This intermediate-level job mandates advanced skills and knowledge of building operations in order to be part of a team responsible for day-to-day maintenance and repairs of the facilities and systems, with an emphasis on support for Exploratorium Special Events and Museum Rentals. This position reports to the Assistant Operations Manager. KEY FUNCTIONS: Provide technical ability for Museum Rentals, Special Events, and programmatic operations, including: logistical support, troubleshooting building systems, and addressing safety and security functions.
