Required functions: Performs millwright work on pumps, fans, compressors, and related equipment Tears down, inspects, overhauls and assembles various power plant equipment. Does general repair work Performs work on turbines, boilers, and all aux equipment Checks and maintains lubrication of all machinery with reciprocating or moving parts Uses micrometers, calipers, and other special tools Converts fractions to decimals and vice versa in calculating alignments and clearances Repairs, repacks, and laps high and low-pressure valves Welds, cuts and fabricates structure and piping systems May direct the work of personnel in lower job classifications performing related work Aligns rotating equipment Performs related work as require Education and Background Qualifications:
