Safety Officer - (Durham, NC)

Conduct personnel training and ensure environmental compliance with regulatory programs, operating permits, and licenses.Prepare job hazard analyses for employees to determine potential or actual workplace exposures to chemical, radiological or biological agents, and/or physical stressors.Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to administer safety program and training, gather and analyze metrics, and collaborate with subject matter experts.Conduct respiratory fit testing following regulatory requirements and standard procedures.Project effort, cost and schedules accurately.Work together with federal safety team and collaborate effectively to implement Jacobs safety program in client operating environment.Promote the Jacobs BeyondZero Incident and Injury Free environment.REQUIREMENTS:Local applicants preferredMinimum Bachelor of Science degree and ten years of safety program experience. Preferably a Master s degree in health, safety or industrial hygiene.
