Paralegal - (Washington, DC)

ParalegalThe applicant will focus primarily on personal injury cases. Will assist attorneys with a caseload of personal injury and other matters, including: Taking new case calls and screening potential new cases; Meeting with potential clients; Pre-litigation workup of cases, including ordering police reports and medical records, contacting witnesses, and corresponding with insurance companies; Drafting demand letters and other correspondence; Assisting in the disbursement of settled cases; Drafting complaints and other pleadings; Corresponding with courts and other attorneys' offices; Assisting attorneys in regard to trials, depositions and other court appearances; and, Maintaining excellent client relations.
