Healthcare: Experienced Veterinary Technician - Cedar Park, Texas - (Cedar Park, TX)

Our Cat Friendly practice is looking for an exceptional full time, experienced veterinary technician to join our no declaw cat hospital! At least two years as a veterinary technician preferred. If you have less than 2 yrs background but are confident with the skills below, we would love to hear from you! Job duties include, but are not limited to; Comfortable with feline restraint and willingness to learn low stress cat friendly handling. Blood draws (both from the jugular and extremity veins) Expertise to place IV catheters Understanding of medical procedures, medications, and laboratory procedures Expertise to give subcutaneous, intravenous, and intramuscular injections Expertise to induce, intubate and monitor anesthesia Expertise to set up and read fecal and urine samples Proficient in outside lab preparation, client education, and multi-tasking. Feline dental and surgical background a plus.
