Battery Cart Operator- Shipping -2nd Shift ($13.20-$17.20) - (Elgin, IL)

Overview The Battery Cart operator changes and maintains all material handling equipment batteries. The battery cart operator also keeps the battery room clean and organized. Duties and Responsibilities - Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality. - Expertise to read, write and speak English. - Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements. - Performs routine battery maintenance duties including, but not limited to: washing batteries, measuring current loads, measuring acid levels, performing load tests. - Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management. - Extensive standing/walking on concrete floors. - Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and details within assigned team and across functional areas.
