Job DescriptionCASHIEREMR - Southern Recycling is looking for a Cashier to work out of our Baton Rouge location. We are a global leader in metal recycling, family owned with a heritage dating back to the 1940’s. We employ nearly 3500 people and operate 150 locations around the world making us the largest, privately held scrap metal company in the world.But we want to get better, and need you to help us do it. Are you ready to join our team?SUMMARY OF DUTIES Provide accurate payment to customers for all scrap metal purchases. Maintain accurate accounting of all cash and check balances. Provide excellent customer service to all dealers, vendors & customers. Input all transaction data into manufacturing software. Maintain all associated files related to transactions. REQUIREMENTS Must possess strong communication, math, data entry and technical skills. Must be able to pass a background screening, credit check, physical and drug test.
