Clinical Services, RN Nurse Specialist Position overview: Under the direction of the Medical Director and regional/ divisional program lead, has the responsibility to manage patient care for patients undergoing clinical apheresis procedures, which may include, but are not limited to, plasma exchanges, red cell exchanges, platelet and white cell reductions, photopheresis, LDL apheresis, hematopoietic progenitor cell collections, and donor apheresis collections if applicable. Act as a clinical consultant to the ordering physician in the treatment planning process. Perform Apheresis procedures autonomously in multiple settings including critical care, emergency room and freestanding outpatient centers. Supervise cell salvage technicians or other staff who assist in performing apheresis procedures in a multiple procedure setting.
