American National is currently seeking applicants for the position: Individual Life Claims Examiner Key functions and Duties: * Set up, investigate and pay death, disability, Accident & Health insurance claims within the department authority limits. * Handles calls and requests for details, collect data from Agents, Claimants, Attorneys and others related to the claim; * Follows established procedures, guidelines and regulatory deadlines while also maintaining a high-level of customer service. * Investigates pre-existing conditions, and potential misrepresentations and contestability. * Determines legitimacy of claims including covered person, beneficiaries, covered cause, non-duplication, proper calculation.
