Research Scientist in Scientific Visualization / NB50650052 - (Oak Ridge, TN)

Purpose: The Scientific Data Group (SDG) in the Computer Science and Mathematics Division (CSM) at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) seeks to hire a Research Scientist in Scientific Visualization to research and develop visualization and analysis tools and technologies that will be utilized by scientists running large scale simulations and/or analyzing large scale experimental/observational data. Major Duties/Responsibilities: In this role, you will work with application scientists, computer scientists, and students to research, and develop methods and techniques for accelerating scientific knowledge discovery. You will collaborate together with other members of the SDG in deploying scientific visualization research into larger ecosystems. You will help define new areas of collaborative research, and help foster new interactions between academia and the SDG.
