The Lab supervisor is responsible for supervision and oversight of the microbiology department. The incumbent will ensure that established procedures and processes are implemented and followed. The Lab Supervisor will serve as a laision for the department, researching and responding to concerns in a timely fashion. This individual will also be responsible for maintaining readiness for inspecitons, including internal audits, CAP inspections, and ISO 15189 surveillance. Qualifications License/Certification/Education: Normally requires a B.S./B.A. Degree w/1-3 yrs of background. Must meet all State and Local licensing qualifications where the laboratory is located and must meet CLIA qualifications. ASCP certification preferred.
