Telecom engineer - fiber systems - (Richmond, VA)

Requirements Applicant must have 1) Detailed knowledge of telecommunication engineering concepts associated with the design and installation of single mode fiber systems. 2) Detailed knowledge of typical standards and practices used within telecommunication buildings and rooms. 3) Detailed knowledge of DC power systems and batteries (-48VDC). 4) Effective oral and written correspondence abilities. 5) Effective technical skills including AutoCAD and Microsoft office suite Products Visio, Power Point, Microsoft excel, Microsoft word, and Outlook. 6) Expertise to manage 20-30 small projects simultaneously. 7) Expertise to interpret codes, regulations and standard practices. Responsibilities This is an experienced level engineering position providing detailed engineering support for internal telecommunications long haul single mode fiber infrastructure.
