Senior Purchasing Agent The University of Iowa is seeking 2 Senior Purchasing Agents to fill roles on our Commodity or Strategic Sourcing Teams. These individuals must be proficient in procurement principles, bidding, and contracting for a variety of goods and services. Assignments include: Management and monitoring of purchase contracts ensuring compliance with contract terms. Develop, manage, and issue competitive solicitations including Request for Quotes, Request for Proposals and Requests for Requirements for major and complex acquisitions as needed capturing the unique needs of users across campus and of other agencies. Participate in and lead implementation of new contract programs, resolve contract performance and payment issues, and maintain related purchase orders, contracts, catalog items and numerous strategic sourcing opportunities. Negotiations of on-going complex contracts. Exercise considerable knowledge of contract administration. Research market conditions and determine trends.
