Medical AR Specialist - (Torrance, CA)

The AR Billing Representative is responsible for assisting the provider with collection of payments due for the hospital service from the payer and/or patient. The ideal candidate should have 2-three years of reimbursement background in a hospital or provider setting. The applicant should be organized, punctual and detail oriented, with a good knowledge of Medicare regulations and provisions along with knowledge with ICD9, ICD10 and CPT codes. Excellent follow-up and troubleshooting skills are required. Duties and Responsibilities: Follow up on all commercial payer claims from billing through final resolution Review and prepare claims for electronic billing submission Identify billing errors for correction and resubmit via adjustment or new submission Review and advise for payment errors, rejection and denials Initiate appeals Keep current with regulations and procedures Communicate issues that are prohibiting claim adjudication to management for resolution Act cooperatively and responsibly with co-workers
