Oversee GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) compliant accounting, statutory financial reporting, and similar for E & S Underwriter. *** Create, maintain, and analyze complex accounting records. *** Perform monthly general ledger close activities: review accounts; reconcile with subsidiary schedules; compile proper business transactions documentation; prepare and distribute monthly financial analysis report; and prepare Microsoft excel financial data dashboard. *** Assess reserve adequacy, prepare reserve development schedules, apply Design Loss Ratios, and recognize reserve releases. *** Manage reinsurance records and maintain reinsurance system for financial recovery strategies for claims. *** Calculate monthly reinsurance premiums and collect balances due. *** Compile info for annual renewal of treaties. *** Establish and enforce proper internal accounting controls. *** Ensure non-IT Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance.
