Formulate new coatings and inks for metal decoration with physical properties that align with customer and market place qualifications. *** Develop polymers, resins (1K & 2K Urethanes, epoxies, melamines, and UV acrylates), crosslinking agents, matting agents, solvents, and other critical additives. *** Test coated and printed metals such as aluminum and stainless steel for adhesion, flexibility, formability, flow, weather resistance, corrosion resistance, and similar characteristics. *** Analyze pigment dispersions to assess resin to pigment critical concentration ratios. *** Identify and resolve product quality problems. *** Develop new and revise existing process control and operating procedures documents. *** Obtain Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and Department of Transportation certifications to manage and reduce Hazardous Waste streams.
