Support development of new targeted molecules to suit customer application processes for high-tech industrial, electronic, automotive, aerospace and healthcare applications. Functions: *** Interact effectively with customers to promote research activities. *** Design and synthesize silicon, organometallic, and inorganic compounds for application in the semiconductor, automotive, aerospace and healthcare processes. *** Apply techniques routinely used for characterization of compounds including nuclear magnetic resonance, fourier-transform infrared, ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry, thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, gas chromatography-thermal conductivity detector, and testing density and viscosity. *** Design and work with pilot plants. *** Collaborate to achieve research project objectives and deliverables in timely manner. *** Present results and report on project progress at team, group, and center level meetings.
