Chemist - UV Inks & Coatings - (Des Plaines, IL)

Seeking Chemist specializing in ink dispersion applications for a color formulation laboratory to conduct bench work and interact with Production, Quality Control and Customers in support of energy curable dispersions. Responsibilities: *** Evaluate and formulate ultraviolet and electron beam energy curable dispersions for inkjet system inks and coatings, such as acrylic monomers, oligomers, photo initiators and inhibitors. *** Evaluate products via spectroscopic methods, particle size analysis, and various methods of color evaluation. *** Prepare small batch samples for direct customer sampling. *** Scale up products from laboratory to production. *** Conduct analyses on existing product lines to resolve customer issues. *** Communicate directly with customers and sales.
