Investigate and develop new formulations for industrial and transportation metal protection coatings. Responsibilities: *** Oversee research assignments from inception to completion, developing research plan, executing, documenting all findings, and completing a written assessment describing new product performance. *** Communicate progress of projects with Lab Manager and Technical Director. *** Support scale-up of new products by advising Quality Control and the plant during initial production. *** Communicate pertinent info regarding new products to the customers or salesmen who have submitted the assigned project. *** Assess properties of coatings within company product line versus competitive products.
