Polymer Formulation Scientist - Water Base Inkjet Inks - (Ann Arbor, MI)

Seeking experienced polymer formulation scientist to contribute to new coating materials research and product development for inkjet printing solutions. Shall: *** Create novel coating formulations at lab and pilot scale from sourcing polymers and other materials with desired properties through formulation and compounding process optimization. *** Optimize formulations and processes; introduce the new coating formulation to at least 1 product platform: UV curable materials, water-borne coatings, adhesive coatings, etc. *** Perform critical to function quantitative analysis including physical mechanical testing, chemical testing, adhesion testing, electrical property testing, etc. *** Develop in-process and final product related specifications of polymer formulation and coating. *** Support transfer of coatings and formulations to manufacturing facilities. *** Provide technical support during manufacturing by analyzing product failure to identify root causes and develop solutions.
