Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:As an emerging expert, defines and develops quality standards for receiving, in-process, and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual qualifications. Interfaces with customers, vendors, and various company departments to resolve quality problems and provide details. Provides management with feedback on inspection and test trends, returns, and vendor performance. Provides work leadership to lower level employees. RESPONSIBILTIES:Applies expert level test methodology, engineering and product knowledge in the design of tests and testing strategies for the analysis and qualification of products. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts. Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities. Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
